William Lawrence Floyd (Bill) passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of eighty-three at home in O’Fallon, Missouri. Bill was born October 4, 1942, in Boss, Missouri to William Clifford and Reba Floyd.
The family moved to Carrolton, Illinois where Bill spent his young years. After graduating high school Bill worked as an auto glass installer for Valley Glass Company, soon becoming a shop manager and later opening his own company, Floyd Glass.
Bill married Charlotte Cook on March 14, 1964. God blessed them with Angela and Scott, the loves of their lives. Then came the joy of grandchildren, Kyle, Jake, Jamilyn and Lucas.
Bill and Charlotte had over sixty-one years sharing a beautiful life.
Bill was blessed to be raised in a Christian home where he was taught to love and accept Jesus. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Harvester (Waypoint).
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Cliff and Reba Floyd, Charlotte’s parents Elsie and Arley Warren, sister Charlotte Pogue (Jim), brother Jim Floyd, sister Sue Anderson (Stanley), Charlotte’s brother Larry Cook (Shirley), Charlotte’s sisters Sharon Cook and Connie Brown.
Bill is survived by his wife Charlotte, daughter Angela Pickle (Mike), son Scott Floyd (Lori), grandchildren Kyle Floyd, Jake Pickle (Veronica), Jamilyn Brumley (Max), and Lucas Floyd. Charlotte’s sister Arlene Buckley (Tom), Charlotte’s brother Danny Warren (Betty), Bill’s brother Jim’s widow Mary Floyd, cousin Don Floyd (Micki), lifelong friends Carl and Marietta Lawson, many treasured nieces, nephews and friends.
Bill will be remembered for his kind, loving and witty personality, his love of cars and his talent in building beautiful homes for his family.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 3, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel, with a Graveside Service to follow in the Dry Fork Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
