With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandson, and friend who was taken far too soon. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will live on in all who knew him. ❤️
He was the devoted husband and soulmate of Danielle Mills. Together, they faced challenges that many people do not survive, yet their love and commitment carried them through. Their bond was unbreakable, built on strength, loyalty, and deep devotion to one another.
He was a proud and loving father. His daughter, Erianna, was truly the light of his life, and he cherished every moment with her. He was also a caring stepfather to Michael Westfall and Harlee Harter, embracing them with love and pride. His family and friends meant everything to him, and he showed it in the way he supported and cared for them each day. 💞
Zach is survived by his beloved wife, Danielle Mills, his daughter Erianna Mills, his stepchildren, Harlee Harter and Michael Westfall, his parents, Julie Mills and Gary (Laura Knox) Mills, his brother Brady Patillo, his sister Harlie Mills, his grandparents, Barb Mills, and Cliff and Patty Harvey, his fathers-in-law, Eric Harter and Greg Cain, his brother-in-law, Chris (Andrea) Cain, his sister-in-law, Heather (Ryan) Malcinski, his grandmother-in-law, Margaret Long, along with many other members of his extended family and friends.
He is predeceased by, his brother, Cooper Mills, his sister-in-law Erica Harter, his mother-in-law, Michele Cain, and his grandfather, Gary Mills, Sr.
To his friends, he was more than just a companion — he was a source of constant laughter and joy. He had a natural ability to tell jokes, lift spirits, and put a smile on anyone’s face. You simply couldn’t help but love him. Whether you knew him for years or just met him, he made an impact that lasted. To know him was truly to love him.
He also had a unique passion and love for his snakes, which brought him happiness and was just another part of what made him unforgettable and one of a kind.
Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will continue to live on through his family and the many friends whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider a donation to Erianna Mills' Education Fund, in honor of her father, Zach. Checks can be made payable to Danielle Mills.
